We have recently completed a $6 million dollar refurbishment at Hilton Cairns. The project included a complete refurbishment of 159 guest rooms and 218 guest bathrooms. As the main client liaison I dealt with Stephen Sanders on a daily basis who provided me with project progress, updates and necessary action of the subcontractor team to ensure the project remained on a tight time-bound track.
Stephen initially commenced the project at Hilton Cairns approximately 1/3 into the scheduled works, this was primarily due to poor site management by the previous incumbents, this provided Stephen with a challenge of greater significance but he was able to most importantly improve the working culture of the entire team but also to get the project firmly back on track. Stephen displays a highly consultative and results focused attitude towards getting the job done.
I have no hesitation in recommending Stephen for his next venture and wish him well with his future endeavours.
